Understanding New Housing Policy in Los Angeles
In the City of Los Angeles, there have been many measures and incentives to build more affordable housing. It is estimated that nearly 500,000 new units need to be built in order to accommodate the people moving in to the city while proving the current residents with the information they need.

To better understand the measures, on this map we take a look at the residentially zoned lots. Below, you can check which residential zoning class you want to look at to see how these lots might be affected. With the buttons, you can see how economic demographics overlay on these issues (the darker, the more economically disavantaged), as well as see the location of the major transit lines, both bus and rail.
